The packaging on the front shows the manufacturer’s brand which is located at the top just below the name of the device, on the right we find an image of the device, in the lower part on the left there is the writing “Designed By VooPoo”. The name of the device appears on the back of the box at the top, the contents of the package are listed below, followed by the address, contact details and the inevitable warnings on the use of nicotine. The two long sides contain; the bar code, the anti-counterfeiting Scratch and Check and the main features in the form of icons.

► Drag X2; First Impressions:
In the past I had the honor and pleasure of previewing the genesis of the various Drag devices starting from the original Drag X & S by VooPoo up to the current Drag S2 & Drag X2. I therefore feel lucky once again to be able to offer you my personal opinions on this new update of these lucky Mods/Pods that have had and continue to have so much success.

VOOPOO Drag X2 Pod The use of a new tank with airflow at the top avoids leaks, the timeless and high-performance PnP coils have been replaced by the new PnP X coils which are slightly larger and better performing.

As I anticipated, the style with renewed decorations marries a proven and successful form factor derived from the previous Drag pod Mod series, the arched design is perfect to fit perfectly in the palm of the hand and has therefore been re-proposed; as they say in these cases “you don’t change the team that wins”.

The Drag X2 with external 18650 battery appears slightly taller and slimmer than the more compact S2 version equipped with an integrated 2,500mAh cell.

In daily use, users will certainly be able to appreciate the remarkable ergonomics of both these new models, which also have a fairly low weight together with high-level finishes as VooPoo has long accustomed us to.

This All-In-one kit features a sturdy zinc alloy frame structure and a leatherette finish that appears slightly hard and reflective as if covered in a special protective resin. On the side you can see the identifying writing “X2”.

On the back, the large DRAG writing hot-stamped onto the leather that distinguished this family has disappeared in favor of a more sober and clean design. The aesthetic impact of the handle is therefore slightly different; the texture looks like that of a tire imprint and the panel is removable to allow the insertion of an external 18650 cell.

Inside the slot there is no classic lace to facilitate the extraction of the cell, however the lower pin of the pole negative has a wide excursion, so it is very simple to insert or remove the 18650 battery.

The battery slot is black in color and is made of fireproof material, you can also clearly see the “+ and -” polarities marked. Internally the door is marked with the engraved writing “JUST DRAG”.

The two magnets ensure a strong grip and the cover, once attached to the mod, does not wobble in any way.

The device uses a vibrant 0.96-inch color (TFT) screen that clearly displays vaping data and offers the ability to display two different layouts; Yellow background (Smart function) with automatic power setting, Light blue background for RBA mode with free power setting, green background for Eco mode to save cell energy during use. The 2A Type-C socket and the “+” and “-” keys are located in a classic and convenient position below the display. The X2 version reaches a maximum power of 80W.

► Drag X2; operating guide:
On/Off: Press the Fire button 5 times.
Lock/Unlock: Press the Fire and “+” buttons together, the product cannot be used during the lock function.
Menu: Press the “+” and “-” buttons together then press “+” or “-” to select the setting then confirm with a tap on the Fire button.
Smart mode (yellow background color) automatically detects the resistance and directly sets the power in the recommended use range, avoiding errors and damage to the coil.
RBA mode (light blue color) allows the user to set the power manually.
Eco mode (green background color) allows you to optimize the battery charge by prolonging the use time of the device.
Software Update: Consumers have access to update to the latest software version on the official VOOPOO website (www.voopoo.com), requiring the specific USB Type-C cable that comes with the product. The side of the Type-C cable marked with “▲” should be
facing downwards. Keep your device fully charged to perform the operation.

► Drag X2; Bottom/top view:
The Drag X2 support base has a good size which guarantees a stable position even during the charging phase.

The upper side housing the pods is equipped with two gold-plated pins and a metal ring which acts as a support base for the cartridge, thus ensuring magnetic contact.

► PnP X DTL Cartridge:
The standard cartridge for DRAG X2, PnP X DTL for “global” vaping is available in colors (black / gray / silver), includes two different coils PnP It is recommended to choose e-liquid with 50%-70% VG, whose nicotine content does not exceed 10mg/ml. The cartridge has a capacity of 5ml (2ml TPD) and refilling takes place laterally by lifting the classic silicone rubber. The cartridge is magnetically attached to the device, which simplifies installation and removal. All PnP X platform coils are designed with directional insertion into the PnP

► Top adjustable airflow:
The two upper airways of the pod are opposed and are designed to be partitioned for RDL use or to be opened wide for maximum DTL air flow, the graduated line helps to precisely regulate the air flow according to your needs. Furthermore, the superior airflow system offers a satisfying experience by ensuring balanced internal and external air pressure, with the ability to completely eliminate the possibility of leaks.

► PnP X Coils Platform and vape test:
The new line of PnP X coils is made up of different resistors for a power between 20 and 100 W+. VOOPOO POD DRAG At the moment this line is compatible with two different cartridges, only for DRAG S2 and DRAG X2 and is not compatible with PnP platform cartridges.

 

VooPoo has specifically created PnP X coils with fourth generation atomization technology to remain at the top of performance in terms of flavor, but also in search of maximum durability.

The specific thermostable cotton is carefully distributed in the spacing and thickness of the fibers over the mesh of the PnP According to VooPoo, the result obtained is sensational and up to 4 times higher than other coils,

These new resistors would be able to support the use of 100ml of e-liquid or accompany you with a pack of 5 coils for an entire season ( 90 days), greatly reducing replacement frequency and costs.

Furthermore, the VOOPOO PnP X coil can be used with various e-liquids in the PG:VG ratio of 7:3 or 5:5. In the Drag X2 package we will therefore find two PnP X coils of 0.15 and 0.30Ω included.

• 0.30Ω PnP X Coil:
With the Smart function activated the Gene TT chip automatically selects the optimal power of 35W for this coil, of course you can lower the power or raise it up to a suggested limit of 40W.

The extraordinary reactivity of the mesh allows satisfactory use even with very low selected powers, however the recommended 35W really seems to be perfect for the best balance between performance and life of the 18650 battery.

Generous openings of the AFC allow you to make the most of the potential of this coils which proves to be very generous in terms of steam emission and aromatic yield.

Vaporization is always fluid and free of spitting even by restricting the air flow, furthermore even when using maximum power the heat generated is really low and you won’t get any discomfort on your lips.

• 0.15Ω PnP X Coil:
With the Smart function activated, the Gene TT chip automatically selects the optimal power of 65W for this coil, of course you can lower the power or raise it up to the maximum limit of 80W.

The extraordinary reactivity of the mesh allows for satisfactory use even with significantly lower selected powers, however the recommended 65W seems to be truly perfect for the best balance between performance and life of the external 18650 battery.

DTL shooters can open the airflow completely for really deep, airy draws accompanied by big clouds of vapor, but even by closing the flow slightly they will still get a smooth, clean draw without spitting. The flavor is really robust and concentrated compared to other types of coils I normally use.

The heat generated by the PnP X tank is never excessive.

► Drag X2; Final Conclusions:
Drag X2 kit combines style and quality with pleasant touch materials and apt ergonomic shapes that provide a very comfortable vaping experience. DRAG X2 has a maximum power output of 80W with a new clear and bright user interface, managed by the new Gene.TT 2.0 chip, which intelligently processes the best power and offers 3 modes: Smart, RBA and ECO. The replaceable external 18650 battery offers long life. Gene TT manages a balanced and stable discharge curve, so even with very low battery charge levels, I did not experience power dips. The new PnP X cartridge with top-flow adjustment marries well with the new PnP X coil platform for DTL and RDL ensuring maximum performance efficiency and reducing drawbacks to virtually zero, plus you can purchase the PnP X cartridge for MTL separately to fully meet your needs.
