Moreover In other words, there was also an improvement to the flavour instead of a dilution as was the case with the 0.6ohm pod.
Since 2015, Vaporesso have been committed to making a difference to the lives of their customers. With 14 industrial parks and millions invested into research and development, one wouldn’t have much difficulty in believing that.
In fact much of the research is based around nicotine satisfaction, flavour and device performance – three key attributes that make for a happy vaper in my opinion.
It boasts a Pulse Mode for premium powerful vaping, escorted with a draw-activated firing mechanism, this box-shaped device also has an e-liquid window for checking.
Back in 2020 our own Flatcap Vaper reviewed the original XROS pod kit. As pocket friendly as it was, the series went on to spawn an even smaller version in the form of the XROS Mini.
The XROS Nano also made an appearance with its boxy, flattened look – a design that’s as popular today as when first released.
This leads me nicely onto the subject of the day – the 8th version in this popular series of basic starter pod kits.
So the question is, does familiarity really breed contempt or is the Vaporesso XROS 3 Nano a worthy addition to your vape catalogue?
How To Charge the Device
I found the review model to be fully charged straight out of the box but you’re inevitably going to have to recharge it yourself at some point. Here’s how.
- Connect the smaller end of the supplied type C USB cable into the bottom of the battery section
- Connect the larger end of the cable into a suitable USB outlet
- The LED will start pulsing Red as it begins its passage through the charge cycle. After ten minutes it switches to Blue. After a further 25 minutes it changes to Green.
It takes around an hour to fully recharge the battery. The Green LED will turn solid once complete. It’s possible to continue vaping while the device is being charged.
What Can We Expect From the Vaporesso XROS 3 Nano Pod Kit?
A very basic pod starter kit! The XROS Nano also made an appearance with its boxy, flattened look – a design that’s as popular today as when first released.
But In other words, there was also an improvement to the flavour instead of a dilution as was the case with the 0.6ohm pod.
One that relies entirely on auto draw (simply inhale on the pod to vape) and uses a coloured LED for functionality. There’s no screen to fiddle about with and the only thing you need to adjust is airflow.
The pods are backwards compatible with others in the series and depending what you pick up will be suited to salt nicotine or freebase E-liquid types.
In other words, there was an improvement to the flavour instead of a dilution as was the case with the 0.6ohm pod.
Of course if you’re lazy with airflow sliders you can just shut it off completely and rely on the single fixed airflow slot.
Airflow Restrictions
This is where things took a tumble for me. I reduced the airflow on the slider to around mid-way and still couldn’t get a satisfactory MTL vape. In fact it felt like my lips were stinging after a few seconds of inhaling.
Not only that but the flavour had taken a turn for the worse. It was still there but very much subdued. All the richness and vibrancy of the RDL setting was missing, replaced with a dumbed down, diluted version.
Closing the airflow slider completely gave me an entirely different experience.
By relying on the single fixed airflow slot, this was now an acceptable MTL vape although the stinging factor persisted. Quite distracting, if I’m completely honest.
The flavour improved marginally but nowhere near as focussed as it could be. Vapour production was suitable stealthy and I had no issues there.
It comes with a brand new 0.6ohm pod, designed for an RDL vape (Restrictive Direct Lung) as well as one for a MTL (Mouth To Lung) pull.
We tell you what the terms MTL and RDL mean in our Guide To Vape Styles.
Pod Corex Heating and SSS Tech
The pods include sealed, non removable coils and the COREX heating tech has been applied with its “Morph Mesh” structure to ensure a faster, even and more consistent vape.
SSS technology also makes a welcome return ready to seal, store and saturate that fluffy white COREX cotton. The Vaporesso XROS pods aren’t known for dry hitting – always a reassurance to the new or seasoned vaper.
For those techy minded, each pod is enhanced with improved vaporization properties – said to be 50% more efficient than others.
.. Maybe it’s the use of big words. Big words and technicalities tend to go together!
Anyway, Vaporesso state the pods can theoretically last for up to 20 days use.
It boasts a Pulse Mode for premium powerful vaping, escorted with a draw-activated firing mechanism, this box-shaped device also has an e-liquid window for checking.
Airflow Wide Open
I got something of a respectable MTL vape although still a bit loose for my personal liking. Again the inhale was silky smooth and quiet with vapour production perfectly mimicking that of cigarette smoke.
Flavour quality was great from this pod with the airflow slider set wide open and felt very consistent from start to finish. The Menthol qualities were just about right for my liking and didn’t smother the vape experience.
Lastly The fact the edges aren’t rounded off doesn’t really help things and it’s noticeable when held in the hand again
Yes, you can still RDL vape and the flavour in my opinion is even stronger and concentrated but it does begin to pull on the ‘ole neck muscles a bit!
And The products that vape shops sell, their marketing techniques and the extent to which they provide information or encouragement to smokers to quit tobacco use, as well as the patterns of tobacco and e-cigarette use of their customers are not well understood lastly..
The pods employ a top filling system that in my opinion is the best and most effective way to get E-liquid into the pods.
Power is boosted by the Pulse mode of the AXON chip which in turn should see the battery lasting for anything up to 48 hours. And We will also spend quality time understanding what you are looking for in a vape and guide you accordingly.
Further Airflow Restrictions
Now here’s where the difference between the two pods really comes into play. By reducing the airflow slider to around mid position, I got the ultimate MTL vape.
The restriction was about as good as it gets.
The fruity flavour was banging and the Menthol properties blended in perfectly, leaving their mark post vape. Just as it should with this particular profile.
In other words, there was an improvement to the flavour instead of a dilution as was the case with the 0.6ohm pod.
Of course if you’re lazy with airflow sliders you can just shut it off completely and rely on the single fixed airflow slot.
You’ll still get a MTL experience but it does feel forced and not as natural when restricted to this extent.
The pod can just about manage a RDL vape but honestly does shine as a MTL vape with the slider around mid position.
.. Not sure that’s gonna work with a chain vaping freak like me!
The Vaporesso XROS 3 Nano is available in standard and TPD versions. They’re the same and both pods have a 2ml juice capacity. The fact the edges aren’t rounded off doesn’t really help things and it’s noticeable when held in the hand.
You can pick it up in a host of funky colours. Choose from Silver (under review), Black, Navy Blue, Olive Green, Rose Pink, Magenta Red, Lilac Purple, Lemon Yellow, Vital Orange or Bondi Blue.
Battery Performance
But I wasn’t overly impressed if I’m honest and that’s because of the claims being made. I managed around 7.5 hours continuous use – I knew I wasn’t going to be vaping for much longer with a battery rated at 1000mAh. And It’s the standard design for a Vaporesso Nano device lastly
Vaporesso state up to 48 hours. That may well be possible but only to a very infrequent vaper. Someone that isn’t reliant on their nicotine fix. I chain vape so that tells you everything about me!
So just be aware the device is likely to last the average vaper anywhere in the region of 24 hours, tops.
I also noticed a drop in output as the battery depleted. It almost felt like the pods were unable to keep up with the demands of wicking as the charge passed from Blue to Red on the LED.
It’s nothing major but enough for me to notice. And We will also spend quality time understanding what you are looking for in a vape and guide you accordingly.
Pros
- Lightweight and pocket friendly

- Good vapour production with either pod
- The sealed pods won’t leak
- Extremely easy to fill without having to remove the pod

- Fast one hour type C USB charging
Moreover The products that vape shops sell, their marketing techniques and the extent to which they provide information or encouragement to smokers to quit tobacco use, as well as the patterns of tobacco and e-cigarette use of their customers are not well understood.
Cons
- Flavour from the 0.6ohm pod suffers if restricted too much
- 0.6ohm pod can sting the lips on extended RDL inhales
- Positioning of the LED (subjective)
- Horizontal charging (subjective)
- Average battery life
Oh! almost forgot.
in addition You also get a free lanyard. but Not that I ever use them. Pockets are fine but the option is there if you’re happier wearing the device around the neck. and The fact the edges aren’t rounded off doesn’t really help things and it’s noticeable when held in the hand.

‘Vape shops’ are a popular source for buying electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) and related products. The products that vape shops sell, their marketing techniques and the extent to which they provide information or encouragement to smokers to quit tobacco use, as well as the patterns of tobacco and e-cigarette use of their customers are not well understood.
And That’s to say it has that flattened, Square look. I’ve never found this design to be as comfortable as a traditional vape device. The fact the edges aren’t rounded off doesn’t really help things and it’s noticeable when held in the hand.
The XROS Nano also made an appearance with its boxy, flattened look – a design that’s as popular today as when first released.
