OXVA Vprime Pod Kit 60w Unboxing, Contents, and Specs:

The VPRIME comes in a very smart looking black box which has a very cool rainbow reflective effect which looks amazing when the light catches it. It does it justice, it appears at first glance like any old vape box, then you notice the shine and the secret depth.

It’s rather awesome! Of course, it includes all the standard blurb typed along sides and rear of the slip case, but even that is classy in gold lettering. Sliding the main tray out, you have your first glimpse at the kit and some plain instructions on how to use it all. It is all straightforward stuff, but a god vape doesn’t have to be complicated.

The VPRIME has a 0.2ohm pod installed, you simply need to peel off the sticker on the bottom that prevents it from touching the power on shipping, but there is also a 0.6ohm pod stored in the accessories box, as well as a very nice red braided USB cable. We are supplied with so many USB leads with all the review samples, but I took a bright shine to it, I guess I am easy to please! At last, there is also a book of text so that you can look up how to use it more fully, though in all honesty you don’t need much more than is already set out on the box insert.

Now onto the kit. I was provided with a few variants, Brown Leather, Blue Leather, and Glorious Gold, but there are eight to pick from in total. The glorious gold is quite stunning, they named it well, but I found myself more interested in the brown leather.

Trying vape equipment in the winter really makes you enjoy a soft warm wrap. While not necessarily heavy, the 116g provides it with a reassuringly solid weight, and the rounded corners and edges contribute to the comfort. It feels nice.

The charging socket is at the base which isn’t my ideal position, but it serves to make the sides appear less cluttered. Talking of the sides, on one there are the up and down buttons, while on the other is the airflow control.

At the front, the screen is housed, and this is a treat to behold. Three options are available for the screen display, the OXVA one which is sort of high tech style with all the information presented easily, the astronaut which still shows the information but also has a puff animation of the spaceman jet jumping, and the rocket which is not as clear as the other screen displays but has an animated take off upon inhaling.

It is my favorite animation, but they all appear very well on the screen due to the excellent color display which is vivid and clear. If animated screens aren’t your preferred choice, stay with the usual OXVA version since it also serves as stealth mode in that it remains dark when you puff on it, and it also significantly prolongs how much time you last on a charge so if charging isn’t accessible for a little while, then this is another good choice too.

There is also a light bar under the screen, you can select the breathing one which flows across the colour spectrum, a sliding one which stays one colour depending on how much charge you have and intensifies as you puff, and finally there is a solid one which just lights up full blast in the colour reflecting your charge levels again. Personally, I found them all a bit too bright, so I turned the light off, but it is always nice to be able to customise things.

The only other option in the menu is to clear the puff counter. But there are still a few tweaks you can manually make. The OXVA VPRIME  will automatically select what power it puts out depending on what pod you use, but you can fine tune things with the up and down buttons on the side. Personally, I found the factory settings to be a bit hot, so I had to drop them down by a few notches.

Then you can also adjust the airflow using the slider which feels firm and stays put where you set it. It is only a small slider, but you can take it from super airy to cheek pulingly tight. I found that full open seemed to affect how well the auto draw worked, it is happier is you use the power button if you want the airiest vape. I liked it around the halfway mark.

OXVA Vprime Pod Kit 60w package includes a 0.2ohm pod and a 0.6ohm and this is a good thing since you can test two very distinct styles. I also received some 0.4ohm pods and OXVA are releasing a 0.8ohm pod so this is a very useful kit, and for me, I‘m keen to test out the more MTL option.

Filling is also possible through a silicon flap on the side of the pod so you can fill without having to remove the pod. It also ensures the base is completely sealed, so you won‘t have any leakage or condensation. The hole is quite good size as well, so filling is hassle free.

The mouthpiece is a built-in component of the pod, but a good size and shape and suitable for all vaping styles.

I have found that there is a slight break in period when using a new pod for the first time, the flavour is good but a tad flat at first. But once you have passed a tank’s worth of juice through it, all opens up well and the flavor really begins to show through, rich and lush with plenty of detail for more complicated e-liquids.

The 0.2ohm pod was very weighty vape, on a cold day you can see the clouds falling with the amount of water, the 0.6ohm was better suited to my taste as I’m not a big clouds girl. Whatever your choice is, you will have an excellent vape, and better still, the pods don’t really need replacing. I have been using a single pod heavily for more than a week now and the taste is as good as when the coil initially broke in, and I can tell you, I have flowed a lot of juice through it.
